Braken Howe Farm

 One of the first dwelling to show when the water level drops, the farm was used as an early lodging house for some of the first dam workers who arrived in the valley around 1930.

     
 

 
     
 

Above are the remains of Braken Howe Farm, below is an actual plan of the building in 1935, in the kitchen can be seen the round object which was the bread oven notice the many large west windows, the red coloured area's were wooden panelling to save money in construction.
